About The Position

BAE is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join the Program Finance team. This role involves serving as the financial business partner for key programs, assisting program managers with developing baselines, monitoring performance, investigating variances, and developing corrective action plans. The analyst will provide financial decision support to stakeholders, focusing on minimizing risk and maximizing program profit. Responsibilities include tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, supporting project start-up and close-out, managing monthly revenue and cost, and profit recognition. The role also involves performing financial analysis for technical and business resources, developing and reviewing financial data for cost proposals, contract reviews, forecasts, and variance explanations. Participation in program and project reviews and ensuring compliance with internal procedures, DFAR/FAR, CAS, and estimating systems are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead existing Analysts by example while taking the lead on selected projects/initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 6+ years related work experience
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel)
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving and in-depth research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively across multiple finance and non-finance functions
  • Working knowledge of EACs, Budget Planning, and cost types/flows

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in project forecasting and analysis within a large defense contractor or manufacturing environment a plus
  • DFARS Estimating System compliance knowledge a plus
  • Hyperion Planning and Excel Smart View add-in experience a plus
  • Oracle ERP experience a plus
  • MBA or advanced Degree a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead existing Analysts by example
  • Serve as the financial business partner for several key programs
  • Assist the program manager and program teams with developing program baselines, monitoring performance, investigating root causes of program performance variances, and assisting program managers in development of corrective action plans to address and mitigate program variances.
  • Provide financial decision support to key stakeholders focused on minimizing risk and maximizing return of program profit by managing financial requirements and program execution.
  • Provide tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size and complexity.
  • Work independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment
  • Utilize strong communication skills to interface with Program Management Organization (PMO) team and others including; project managers, technical staff, subcontractors and customers in support of PMO activities
  • Responsible project start-up and close-out as well as monthly program revenue, cost management, and profit recognition over the life of the program.
  • Supports project execution by performing financial analysis and other program support related to the technical and business resources needed to achieve program objectives; includes pre/post award project activities from inception through closeout
  • Develops and reviews financial data for inclusion in cost proposals, contract reviews, forecasts and variance explanations.
  • Participate in program and project reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, DFAR/FAR, CAS, estimating systems and disclosure statements as well as interprets changes to understand impact on programs.
