About The Position

The Financial Analyst position is an onsite opportunity within the Abbott Diabetes Care Division, focusing on helping people with diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. As a global leader in diabetes care, Abbott is committed to continuous improvement in glucose monitoring. This role is key in partnering with leadership to drive financial ownership of NA weekly sales, month-end close, and LBE analytics, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis for the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2+ years of full-time finance and/or accounting experience.
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer applications (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills, accuracy, and attention to details.
  • Ability to learn system software and databases quickly (SAP, Essbase, HFM).

Responsibilities

  • Support North America’s Weekly sales, Month-End Close, LBE Confirms & LBE forecasts
  • Consolidation of financial forecasts and actuals reporting.
  • Partners with Affiliate commercial and functional teams to analyze Sales, P&L and Balance Sheet performance versus various financial benchmarks
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting to management leveraging knowledge of finance systems and familiarity with business operations
  • Gain exposure to the full P&L each LBE cycle, learning key business drivers from each department
  • Collaborate with DHQ teams to prepare and analyze LBE submissions
  • Maintain an effective and efficient planning process for the division and functional areas being supported, including the coordination of a planning calendar with key dates and deliverables
  • Support other Ad Hoc finance requests or enquiries from business partners.
