About The Position

The Boeing Company's Finance Shared Services is seeking a dynamic and talented Experienced Financial Analyst (Level 3) to join the Finance Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) Indirect team. This role will support the Boeing Brand Experiences (BBE) organization and is based in Everett or Renton, Washington. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-class finance team that plays a crucial role in guiding business decisions and supporting key operations. The Financial Analyst will act as a de facto Chief Financial Officer for the BBE organization, providing insights and recommendations based on financial performance metrics, including Profit & Loss responsibility. They will partner closely with the Accounting organization to understand and explain BBE’s financial picture, support BBE retail store growth with financial analysis and recommendations, and represent Finance on a cross-functional team as BBE's financial systems and tools evolve. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the development of financial models and forecasts, engaging in cost analysis and optimization efforts, and conducting financial analysis and reporting to support strategic business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in a business-related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Accounting, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management)
  • 3+ years of work experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • 3+ years of experience creating executive level presentations using Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience working with large data sets required (e.g. advanced, Excel, PowerPivot, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a defacto Chief Financial Officer support of the BBE organization
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance metrics, including Profit & Loss responsibility
  • Partner closely with the Accounting organization in understanding and explaining BBE’s financial picture
  • Support BBE retail store growth with financial analysis, recommendations and partnership with the Accounting organization
  • Serve on a cross functional team representing Finance as BBE financial systems and tools evolve
  • Contribute to the development of financial models and forecasts
  • Engage in cost analysis and optimization efforts
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support strategic business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Collect, compile, manipulate and document source data to support analysis of resource
  • Initiates assignments and integrates analysis of resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools
  • Develop and maintain performance reports
  • Integrate variance analyses and provide understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management
  • Make recommendations to senior management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience
  • Support process improvement initiatives, communicates the need for change to stakeholders and act as a finance representative lead for cross-business/Center of Excellence COE engagements
  • Analyze key performance indicators to improve process cycle time, quality, and timeliness
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to serve as a change agent
