About The Position

We are looking for a junior-level professional who is autonomous, hands-on, and ready to move from the "what" of accounting to the "how" and the "why." In this role, you aren’t just processing entries; you are building a foundation. You’ll own the tax compliance cycle, strengthen the accounting for specific entities, and bring the technical rigor needed to support our expansion across Canada and the US. Reporting to our Finance Director, you’ll be a key partner in troubleshooting, reconciling, and validating our data—essentially, you are here to ensure our financial core is rock solid as we scale.

Requirements

  • Earned your CPA letters (or are just about to).
  • 2 to 3 years of solid experience where you’ve learned to navigate complex files with ease.
  • A natural curiosity and a genuine interest in taxes and accounting systems that goes beyond the basics.
  • Meticulous with the details because you care about the result.
  • A refined sense of organization and a professional posture that allows you to handle sensitive files with complete discretion.
  • Initiative, curiosity, and a genuine drive to make things happen.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and the ability to uplift those around you.
  • Ability to thrive on new challenges, stay calm under pressure, and love the pace and excitement of a dynamic environment.
  • A true self-starter - passionate, gritty, and goal-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate the complexities of Canadian and US tax landscapes (GST/TVQ/Sales Tax), ensuring the agency remains perfectly aligned with jurisdictional requirements while optimizing our use of specialized credits like R&D and C3i.
  • Take full ownership of the accounting lifecycle for designated entities, transforming raw transactional data into clean, sophisticated financial statements that tell a reliable story to our leadership.
  • Be the primary bridge between the agency and external authorities—whether managing audits or collaborating with tax partners—upholding our reputation for meticulous accuracy and transparency.
  • Play a vital role in our ERP modernization, moving beyond simple data entry to help us design and maintain a financial ecosystem that is compliant, efficient, and audit-ready.
