Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field required.
• Minimum of three years of related work experience required.
• OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of related work experience
• Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required
• Act 34

Nice To Haves

• PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
• CPA/MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex financial transactions and events to support strategic decision-making.
• Deliver financial planning and analysis for multiple operational areas, including UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside hospital and systemwide imaging services.
• Partner with leadership to support strategic initiatives such as the opening of new facilities and provide financial insights for systemwide efforts.
• Extract and define relevant financial information to assess past performance and forecast future financial outcomes.
• Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
• Provide functional advice and training to less experienced financial analysts and administrative staff.
• Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis using data from various financial systems.
• Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Plan and conduct in-depth studies to determine the cost of business activities, and recommend budget adjustments and cost-saving measures.
