Responsibilities

Support financial strategy and policy development by compiling, reviewing, and analyzing City financial data and operational reports; monitor updates, evaluate information, recommend actions, and prepare forecasts and reports.
Conduct detailed operating and capital budget analysis, including review of expenditures and revenue trends, and reconciliation of data from multiple sources.
Assess operational changes and trends, estimate fiscal impacts, and develop supporting analysis and narrative for program plans and funding requests.
Provide consultation to City staff on financial, budgeting, accounting, and technical matters by researching issues, identifying solutions, and offering guidance on procedures and account-related questions.
Assist in preparing financial analyses and reports, including the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), and help interpret and communicate City policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
