About The Position

The Financial Analyst - Residuals position is a new opportunity to support a private equity-backed payments services company based in Dallas, TX. The Company is seeking a finance professional to support the expanding residual/commission function within the organization. This person will support end-to-end residual functionality as well as work closely with Sales, IT, HR and Finance team members to ensure accurate and timely payments to internal and external sales partners. The primary responsibilities include compensation plan setups, data extraction and manipulation, variance analysis, residual reporting and payment processing. Talus Pay is a leading fintech payment solution provider to small and medium sized business clients across the U.S. and is in the process of rapid growth.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related filed
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience
  • Proficient personal computer skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), including strong Excel skills
  • Ability to analyze projects with realistic thought processes and communicate progress
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with others when needed
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and growing organization
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately within established timelines
  • Ability to work well with local & remote personnel

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with IRIS CRM a plus, but not required
  • Payments industry experience a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform data quality analysis to ensure data integrity and accuracy of residual data
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in data performance, quality and processing
  • Ability to identify trends and discern root cause from large sets of data
  • Aptitude for problem solving and working under deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, but also be a good team member
  • Provide variance analysis and research irregularities within datasets
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and other applicable financial software applications
  • Strong presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis as necessary
  • Assist with special projects as requested
