About The Position

The Financial Analyst – Reinsurance will analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and enforce internal controls to protect company assets. The Financial Analyst - Reinsurance will also take action to enhance cross-functional coordination and expand internal communications in the GSFS Group and develop associates. As a Finance Analyst – Reinsurance, you will support new dealer participation program accounts, coordinate with Legal, Risk and Operations teams, and communicate with all stakeholders on the status of processes through completion. You will prepare and analyze pro-formas based on requests from Sales/Agents/Risk, analyze dealer statements, and update the Executive Dealer Portal with analytics. You will incorporate new products and/or companies into current processes as it relates to Dealer Participation Programs, and coordinate data requirements and prepare analytics and recommendations for the dealer obligor program. You will also prepare and analyze dealer profitability, ensure dealer "fact sheets" are updated accurately and timely, and participate in the annual business planning process, providing information and assistance to FP&A as requested. Additionally, you will participate in annual state regulatory filings, coordinate and communicate actions between the Friedkin affiliated companies, and research and resolve dealer participation program questions and other customer issues in an agreed-upon timeframe, striving to satisfy customers and minimizing referrals to management. You will participate on continuous improvement teams to enhance and/or streamline accounting processes and participate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of Information Technology projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic data analysis)
  • Solid understanding of Financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
  • Solid understanding of Accounting principles (GAAP familiarity preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • 0 - 1 year intern or co-op experience in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Exposure to investments, insurance, or financial services is a plus
  • Familiarity with financial systems or data tools is a plus
