About The Position

As part of Apple's Finance organization, you'll help ensure the financial health of Global Security's operations worldwide — partnering directly with security leadership to bring visibility, discipline, and rigor to how those programs are planned and funded. It's a role where sound financial judgment and attention to detail have a direct, tangible impact on how Apple protects its people, places, and information. Apple's Finance team is looking for a highly motivated contributor who doesn't shy away from asking the hard questions and driving impactful change. You'll own the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for a range of Apple's Global Security functions, with direct exposure to senior security leadership and a high degree of ownership over the processes that support them.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of FP&A or related Finance (e.g., Audit, Financial Statement Analysis, etc.) experience required
  • BS/BA or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • Thorough understanding of accounting standards and financial analysis, with a strong analytical / problem solving background.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex financial concepts and describe data in simple business terms.
  • Strong data management skills, using both spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to take ownership of processes, including introducing automation and other workflow improvements.
  • Proficient in working with cross-functional teams across different levels of management.
  • Strong prioritization skills with a proven track record of successfully and simultaneously managing multiple complex projects while under pressure and meeting critical deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with common financial and enterprise software systems, such as SAP, Workday Adaptive Planning (Adaptive Insights), and Business Objects, along with data analysis tools such as Tableau, Dataiku, and SQL, including a demonstrated track record of leveraging AI and automation tools to drive efficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and modeling.
  • Familiarity with security functions such as physical security, investigations, threat intelligence, GSOC operations, or emergency management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as FP&A lead for certain of Apple's internal Global Security business units.
  • Develop strong relationships and work directly with key security leaders and program owners to establish and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets & forecasts.
  • Build and maintain complex models for quarterly close accruals, ensuring adherence to SOX requirements, and booking such journal entries.
  • Develop analytics and other ad hoc reporting that provide meaningful insights associated with spend on security programs, operations, and projects.
  • Partner with various security teams on budgeting and forecasting which includes, but is not limited to, corporate guarding, GSOC, executive protection, leak and crime, crisis management, and vendor/contractor spend.
  • Monitor and review actuals to ensure correct accounting treatment and compare variances between budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
  • Refine existing processes and modeling to drive more efficient and accurate expense monitoring, forecasting, and other reporting deliverables.
  • Maintain finance administrative hierarchies for budget and management reporting purposes.
  • Drive continued innovation across all aspects of the role by leveraging financial tools, systems, and collaborative working environments across different finance teams.
