About The Position

The Financial Analyst Lead supports system financial operations, with a focus on accounting processes, inventory oversight, asset and liability tracking, and financial reporting. The role works closely with hospital teams and clinical leadership to promote financial accuracy and operational alignment. It requires a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, particularly inventory, assets, liabilities, and forecasting, and the ability to turn financial information into insights for strategic and operational decision-making. The position coordinates analytical and reporting support for the system finance team and provides consultative support to departmental, service-line, and clinical leaders. It also serves as an informal leader on complex initiatives, coordinating across stakeholders and supporting peers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least three years of relevant financial, accounting, or operational analysis experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support the system finance team in providing financial analysis, reporting, and pro forma development for operational and strategic decision-making.
Oversee and support accounting processes involving hospitals and related assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and appropriate financial controls.
Ensure forecasting is performed effectively and accurately, and analyze economic indicators to assess the organization’s short-, medium-, and long-term financial position.
Lead and support mid-year and periodic inventory counts, coordinating with cross-functional groups to ensure proper execution and documentation.
Monitor and analyze asset and liability activity and organizational spending.
Interpret financial and operational data concerning costs, prices, expenses, revenues, and clinical or operational measures, and develop clear recommendations for senior management.
Use advanced Excel capabilities, including Power Query, to improve reporting efficiency and data visibility and support complex analysis.
Provide analytical and consultative support to departmental, service-line, and clinical leaders to help solve problems and understand financial implications.
Serve as an informal leader on complex initiatives, coordinate across stakeholders, support peers, and go above and beyond to deliver results.
