About The Position

The Financial Analyst II provides advanced financial and operational support for the Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN). This role involves complex financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and managing multiple funding sources such as state appropriations, grants, foundation funds, and program-generated revenue. The position independently performs and oversees financial functions, requiring interpretation of University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) policies, procedures, guidelines, and relevant federal, state, and sponsor regulations. The Financial Analyst II acts as a key resource to leadership, offering data-driven insights, financial recommendations, and strategic guidance to ensure program sustainability and compliance. The role demands a high degree of autonomy, technical expertise, and the capability to handle competing priorities within a complex funding landscape. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, and effective stewardship of public and private funds, while supporting high-volume transactional processes and promoting continuous improvement in financial operations.
