About The Position
esVolta, LP is seeking individuals to join as Financial Analyst to support the evaluation of energy storage development, investment, and financing opportunities. As part of the Investment & Analytics team, this role will assist with financial modeling, project analysis, and business decision support while working closely with cross-functional teams. esVolta is a leading developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale energy storage projects across North America, operating in the fast-growing battery energy storage market.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, investment analysis, or a related role is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience using AI tools to streamline financial analysis, synthesize information, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the quality and efficiency of deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Harvey) to improve efficiency, quality, and responsiveness of work, while applying sound judgment and appropriate oversight.

- Renewable energy experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of financial models for energy storage projects.
- Prepare financial forecasts including capital costs, revenues, operating expenses, and financing assumptions.
- Gather, organize, and validate data used in financial models and analyses.
- Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate project risks and opportunities.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing financial analysis for internal stakeholders.
- Research energy market trends and assist with evaluating new project opportunities.
- Monitor project performance against forecasts and support continuous model improvements.
- Assist with capital raising initiatives, including tax equity and debt financing transactions.
