About The Position

Royal Credit Union is seeking passionate and eager students to join as Financial Analyst Interns. This role offers hands-on experience in financial analysis, supporting strategic planning, and contributing to significant organizational projects. Interns must be enrolled in a university or technical college throughout the internship, be located in the Chippewa Valley Area, and be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI. The internship provides a supportive, values-driven environment with opportunities for professional growth, empowerment, and community involvement.

Requirements

Enrolled in a university throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Must have completed or be currently enrolled in courses related to understanding Finance and Accounting.
Must be bondable.
Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and basic knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
Must be located in the Chippewa Valley Area.
Must be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI.
Must be able to commit to the internship for its intended duration (January 2027 through May 2028).

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses and reports.
Support the development of forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
Reconcile departmental budgets and investigate variances to ensure accuracy.
Conduct benchmarking and comparative analysis using peer and macroeconomic data.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and complete ad-hoc financial projects.
