This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. We are seeking a Financial Analyst with a strong track record of success to play a crucial role in contributing to our mission of reducing the cost of access to space. This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As a Finance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to partner with program leadership to drive financial performance and programmatic decisions!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related analytical field.
  • 5+ years demonstrating performance in roles that include business planning, analyzing performance, and reporting insights to senior leadership levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, not just report on them
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to earn trust and maintain positive, professional relationships with key business partners and the broader finance team.
  • Experience with data mining across complex data sets for the purposes of data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a self-motivator.
  • Expertise in building complex data models.
  • Strong skills in running meetings and preparing executive-level presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted business partner to the Lunar program teams, ensuring operations within financial constraints and wise capital investment.
  • Partner with program leadership to align quarterly program forecasts with strategic goals.
  • Perform risk and opportunity assessments, produce key insights to programmatic risk exposure, and drive closure of mitigation actions.
  • Manage portfolio of capital projects which includes ROI, EAC, and funding analysis.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, models, and reporting, identifying key performance drivers and introducing new analytical methods.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation, initiative and ability to drive results.
  • Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and driving results.
  • Build data models that integrate information across disparate sources to support financial analysis, track key performance indicators, and enable decision-making.
  • Lead meetings and prepare executive-level presentations to communicate insights and recommendations effectively.
  • Prepare project budgets and provide analysis.
