About The Position

This role involves conducting independent analysis and interpretation of the business unit P&L and its components. The Financial Analyst III will produce business unit reports, understand the relationship between P&L and B/S elements, and provide detailed analysis to business unit leaders. The position also includes developing and executing financial and operating models, performing M&A analysis (including valuation and synergy analysis), and assisting in the preparation of executive-level presentations and meetings. This role solves complex problems, takes a new perspective using existing solutions, works independently with minimal guidance, and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Contributions to process improvements are expected. As allowed by applicable law, this role may require late night, weekend, or holiday coverage due to month, quarter, and year-end requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and a growth mindset
  • Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting preferred)
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance analyst, accounting, financial reporting, or functionally similar role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large volumes of data
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to communicate effectively and translate analysis into a message for executive management
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CFA, or MBA designation is a plus
  • Oracle skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent analysis and interpretation of the business unit P&L and its components.
  • Produce business unit reports indicating analysis and understanding of business trends and offering useful business insights/conclusions.
  • Understand the various elements of the P&L and B/S and their relationship and provide detailed analysis of the data to the business unit leaders.
  • Develop and execute financial and operating models throughout the organization, including potential acquisitions and dispositions or potential impacts on financial metrics for business decisions.
  • Develop proforma modeling related to potential acquisitions and/or dispositions related to strategic opportunities, including valuation analysis of potential acquisitions and synergy opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of executive-level presentations and meetings, such as quarterly business reviews.
  • Engage with senior leadership in understanding and representing the financial metrics and results.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience, providing informal guidance to junior staff.
  • Contributes to process improvements.
