About The Position

The Bradford Group is seeking a Financial Analyst II responsible for Workday Adaptive database administration, which is the primary tool for annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial reporting. This role provides senior management with essential analysis, KPIs, and information for operational, financial, and strategic decision-making. The position will also conduct variance analysis, respond to management inquiries, and recommend process improvements, handling complex financial planning and analysis tasks with occasional direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • 3+ years of relevant financial experience in a financial analysis role.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, including functions such as Pivot Tables, graphs, charts, VLOOKUP, and comfortable with macros.
  • Understands not only how to produce reports but analyze them.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems, work with minimum supervision, and is detailed oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Cross-functional teamwork experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated in achieving goals and completing routine tasks.
  • Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience being an administrator of a forecasting/budgeting system is a plus.
  • Experience with HFM, Essbase, Workday Adaptive Insights.
  • Experience with ERP/SAP system implementation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Workday Adaptive Database Administrator, including system configuration, maintenance, data loads, integrations, and user security.
  • Responsible for annual budget, quarterly forecasting, and multi-year planning processes for North American and International Operations.
  • Partner with key business functions to understand financial performance drivers and coordinate related inputs for the budget and forecast process.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, management reporting packages, and variance analyses comparing actual results against budget, forecast, and prior years.
  • Manage budget communications, develop and project centralized assumptions, develop reports, and provide user training.
  • Perform monthly uploads and validation of actual data to the Adaptive Insights platform for accurate global reporting.
  • Support monthly financial reporting by analyzing operational, performance, and financial metrics, KPIs, and trends against expectations and past performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-organizational teams to support the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and other financial and strategic reporting.
  • Translate key takeaways and findings into a non-financial voice for broader organizational understanding.
  • Respond directly to management inquiries and data requests.
  • Provide ad hoc financial support to functional teams to drive strategic decision-making and support business activities.
  • Proactively recommend process improvements and apply technology to reduce cycle time.
  • Analyze performance and collaborate with global teams to assess variances, performance issues, determine impact on current and future results, and resolve independently.
  • Provide leadership on special projects.
