About The Position

The Financial Analyst I uses a combination of financial and data analysis tools and techniques to generate, analyze, report, and interpret financial and other data used across the Bank. This role also assists with account and data reconciliation and creates accounting entries.

Requirements

• Familiarity with the Core Processing System.
• Familiarity with report writing tools, such as Cognos, IBM Query.
• Strong data analytical skills such as pivot table and advance excel formulas.
• Interest and ability to learn new applications.
• Bachelors Degree Finance or Data Analytics and less than 1 year accounting or report writing preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• CMGA preferred.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize data extraction and report writing software to access data to analyze and provide information that is timely, accurate, and visually appealing.
• Provide support to senior management and other departments by collecting and analyzing financial data and other key metrics.
• Identify trends and recommend enhancements to existing reports.
• Prepare accounting entries for accounting systems.
• Identify, research, recommend, and implement new alternatives to increase productivity.
• Assist with financial reporting process by preparing reports to summarize financial data.
• Comply with internal controls over financial reporting.
