Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields.
  • One to three years’ refining or oil & gas related experience preferred.
  • Additional education may substitute for experience.
  • High degree of financial competence and ability to operate independently.
  • Experience in analyzing financial statements and data mining.
  • Expert Excel modeling and Power Point skills.

  • MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the monthly forecast. Analyze changes versus prior versions and provide inputs for discussion internally at HRC and during presentation to executives. Continuous improvements of the Financial Planning model.
  • Prepare estimates on targets inventory level for crude and products and submit to IM provider as needed.
  • Lead the biweekly IM inventory meeting. Work with logistics and operation’s coordinator to ensure all projections are updated.
  • Work with Finance to understand liquidity requirements and needs; provide guidance to Senior Management on debt covenants, availability and other financing options.
  • Coordinate with the Treasury department in planning activities and models for cash forecasting.
  • Prepare the Peer Analysis report and present to management on a quarterly basis. Keep management informed of competitor landscape, industry trends, research and forecasts that lead to new opportunities.
  • Assist Engineering in the preparation, profitability analysis and tracking of capital projects
  • Alongside Accounting, consolidate the annual Budget for presentation and approval by senior management.
  • Prepare monthly finance slides for the Planning Meeting, including working capital updates, inventory projections, and cash flow breakeven analysis.
  • Coordinate quarterly executive presentations for senior leadership, managing finance slide updates and ensuring timely input from all contributing departments
  • Analyze departmental financial results and prepare executive-ready quarterly presentations across Crude Supply, Light Oils Marketing, and Asphalt Marketing business units.
  • Identify relationships, patterns and factors that drive data sets using statistical methods such as regressions, correlations. Report hedging opportunities, risks, or recommendations from this analysis to Senior Management.
  • Prepare the finance materials for the biweekly Flash update.
