About The Position

This role provides support for activities associated with external funded projects, including development and maintenance of grant budgets and expense tracking. The Financial Analyst will interact with various program managers and principal investigators, as well as outside funding agencies, to achieve maximum reimbursement of program costs and successfully satisfy reporting requirements. Additionally, the role coordinates purchasing activities, supports acquisition and allocation of resources, and participates in space planning. The Financial Analyst will also support business processes to ensure effective and efficient operations, identify opportunities for improving processes, and resolve issues directly or in consultation with the Director. The position involves initiating departmental financial transactions with approval. The role also ensures accuracy of data recording and tracking in applicable clinical, human resource, financial, and supply chain systems as delegated, and ensures reporting meets division/department decision-making needs. Project support includes assisting with the completion of projects and business plans, research, data collection, and analysis, and summarizing recommendations and conclusions. Support for the management of academic/faculty affairs and the meeting of compliance requirements is also a responsibility.
