About The Position

The Financial Analyst, General Accounting is responsible for performing accurate and timely accounting entries to the general ledger according to accounting policy and control procedures. Additional responsibilities include managing complete cycle of intercompany billing and settlement processes, facilitating banking, funding and reconciliation of bank and suspense accounts as well as supporting general balance sheet reconciliation and various control framework. The role applies comprehensive knowledge and skills to support the administration and productivity of related tasks, functioning as a subject matter expert in non-complex areas of general accounting. The Senior Analyst, Accounting exercises independent judgement within defined procedures to liaise with internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies to provide analytical information or responses to specific questions. The role contributes to the overall effectiveness of the accounting group by ensuring financial information is provided to intended users on a timely basis.

Requirements

Knowledge of general accounting policies and practices.
Good business and analytical skills to assess and interpret business needs.
Good understanding of Financial Control framework to support and ensure integrity of financial data.
Good communication, teamwork, partnership and relationship building skills sufficient to act in a collaborative manner with team members and stakeholders from different backgrounds and experiences.
Ability to liaise regularly with various Line of Businesses and Functional Groups.
Support agile accounting processes and controls to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
Ensure changes in accounting policies/requirements are implemented in a controlled manner.
Maintain up to date desk top procedures in accordance with best practices, regulatory requirements, SOX, and Internal Controls.
Good spreadsheet and database management skills, such as Oracles, Data Analytics, Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, Tableau etc.
Certified professional with current accreditation and good standing in the CPA, or working towards your CPA designation.
3+ years of relevant work experience.
Ability to investigate complex problems and make sense of information.
Confidence in ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s) and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.
