About The Position

Look no further....you can be part of the Gallogly College of Engineering Team where you will provide budget management, administration, and analysis of OUFND and state accounts within academic departments of the college. You will work closely with faculty, staff, students, and various OU offices, including Shared Business Services Center (SBSC) and the dean's office to track spending, prepare financial reports, and other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, AND : 24 months financial, budgeting or accounting experience
  • Equivalency/Substitution : Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience.
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to build rapport with students, faculty, and staff
  • Able to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively
  • Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
  • Strong initiative to solve problems in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Managing state and University of Oklahoma Foundation accounts, regular communication with academic units and SBSC to approve financial transactions, serve as liaison between academic units and SBSC.
  • Budgeting – Developing and maintaining working budgets; pulling, creating, and sending reports to the schools, report program budget information to the Executive Director of Finance and Operations, Deans, and other groups/departments on campus as requested.
  • Tracking commitments such as faculty startup for departments.
  • Budget Meetings – meetings with schools and others as needed.
  • Administrative – answer phones, greet guests, take deliveries when students aren’t at the front desk, and other duties as assigned.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
