About The Position

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Financial Analyst, FP&A Systems & Automation to join their Corporate FP&A team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is both an analyst and a builder, responsible for the data, systems, and automation that support planning, forecasting, and reporting. The position involves connecting NetSuite and other systems into the company's Nuclear Operating System (NOS) and FP&A data layer, building the infrastructure to enable a lean FP&A team to scale with the business, and applying AI and automation to finance workflows. This is a foundational role that will define how FP&A captures, structures, and utilizes data as the company prepares for a public-company operating model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data or Information Systems, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 0-3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial systems, or analytics, ideally in a high-growth, data-intensive, or startup environment.
  • Strong FP&A fundamentals: budgeting, forecasting, and three-statement financial logic.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Hands-on technical skill with at least one of SQL, Python, or a modern BI and analytics tool (e.g., Power BI), with comfort connecting and transforming data across systems.
  • Familiarity with systems like NetSuite OneWorld (ERP), UKG (HRIS and payroll), Carta (equity), bank platforms, and Primavera P6, including their data models and APIs.
  • Genuine fluency with AI tools and a demonstrated instinct for automating manual workflows.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning ambiguous, build-from-scratch problems in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (OneWorld or SuiteAnalytics), UKG, Carta, or Primavera P6, or with integrating source-system APIs into a central data platform.
  • Experience building or administering an FP&A planning platform (e.g., Anaplan, Pigment, or Planful).
  • Experience with data pipeline and ETL tooling and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Experience developing AI or agentic workflows (LLM APIs, retrieval, or agent frameworks) in a business or finance context.
  • Exposure to public-company reporting, IPO readiness (including equity administration changes at listing), or SOX-relevant process documentation.
  • Interest in or exposure to energy, infrastructure, or other capital-intensive industries.

Responsibilities

  • Own the FP&A data architecture across the company's systems of record, including NetSuite OneWorld, NetSuite CRM, UKG, Carta, bank platforms, Primavera P6, and the Brookfield JV package.
  • Maintain the feeds into NOS, adhering to intake paths and the data-governance model.
  • Build and maintain pipelines for actuals, plan, and driver data, establishing a single source of truth.
  • Define and enforce data hygiene, metric definitions, and reporting standards across the FP&A function.
  • Design and maintain the FP&A toolchain and reporting layer, including BI dashboards and the corporate reporting package.
  • Build and maintain cost tracking for the Nuclear Operating System (NOS) and broader technology, cloud, and AI spend, linking engineering and infrastructure cost drivers to the financial plan.
  • Partner with Engineering and Accounting to ensure accurate capture, allocation, and reporting of technology costs.
  • Own the tooling, connectivity, and automation for budgeting and forecasting, including driver-based inputs, model integration, and eliminating manual build steps.
  • Partner with the corporate FP&A analyst to provide infrastructure that streamlines recurring planning cycles.
  • Identify, pilot, and deploy AI and automation across FP&A workflows, moving towards agentic AI and a scalable, self-service process architecture.
  • Serve as the function's champion for leveraging NOS and emerging tools to enhance the speed, quality, and impact of financial work.
  • Define and document FP&A processes, templates, and system standards to ensure scalability, auditability, and resilience.
  • Contribute to public-company readiness by strengthening process discipline, controls, and documentation across FP&A data and reporting.
