About The Position

GDIT is seeking an Intern (Seasonal) to support the Defense Program Finance team. This role involves cost and revenue analysis, forecasting/projecting program metrics, and ad-hoc reporting. The intern will perform administrative duties, learn financial systems and processes, and assist with financial trend analysis and forecasting. This is a short-term, seasonal position with a hybrid work arrangement, collaborating both in-person and virtually. The insights provided by the intern will have a real-time impact on business decisions and reporting requirements. The role requires critical thinking, financial foundations, and curiosity about emerging technology.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED; some college
• 2+ years of college experience with a concentration in Finance or Accounting
• Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative duties in support of a department or customer.
• Works on a short-term, seasonal basis.
• Engage with leaders and teammates to learn various financial systems, processes, and procedures.
• Work one-on-one and within groups assisting with evolving technology and internal reporting improvements.
• Help analyze different historical trends across financial metrics, providing forecasting insights.
• Assisting with improvements to current trend analysis and embracing new reporting technology will enhance the finance team's overall reporting abilities.
• Provide insights to leadership that will make a real-time impact in business decisions and reporting requirements.
• Use critical thinking combined with financial foundations and a curiosity about emerging technology to support our utilization of those technologies.
