About The Position

Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Associate Grant Analyst to join our Grants team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support for DEN’s grant portfolio, working closely with the Grants Manager and departments across the airport to ensure grant information, documentation, financial data, and reporting requirements are accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • One (1) year of professional level experience researching, analyzing, calculating, and compiling financial data, debt or portfolio administration, or financial statistical analysis.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience communicating and partnering with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Experience working with financial, grant, or other detailed data.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and recurring responsibilities.
  • Ability to use a variety of technology including Excel, Google products, and grants management software.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, codes, rules & regulations applicable to grants.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal DEN departments to understand upcoming projects, funding needs, and potential grant opportunities.
  • Research and identify federal, state, and local grant opportunities that align with DEN’s Vision 100 goals and upcoming projects.
  • Support all phases of the grant lifecycle, including application development and submission, award setup and administration, financial and performance tracking, reimbursement preparation, compliance activities, and grant closeout.
  • Monitor grant compliance, regulations, and funding requirements—including federal requirements under 2 CFR Part 200—and participate in training and professional development to remain current on evolving regulations and best practices.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support among the Grants team, program staff, funding agencies, and internal DEN departments to ensure effective grant administration.
  • Review and maintain grant-related policies, procedures, accounting records, and financial information systems to support compliance with DEN’s core values and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations; assist in implementing and maintaining financial controls and systems for new grants and programs.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry related to grant applications, awards, budgets, expenditures, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Assists with Capital Improvement Program (CIP) tasks and related activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
