About The Position

The role of the Financial Analyst at Davidson Hospitality Group is to assist in the evaluation of hotel investments (Acquisitions, Management Takeovers, New Developments, and Saves), with a specific focus in investment analysis/valuation, property-specific underwriting, market research and analysis, site inspections and property tours, and preparation of investment materials for internal and external clients. As necessary, the Financial Analyst will assist in strategy planning and preparation of written proposals and participate in live presentations. Working hand-in-hand with senior management, the Financial Analyst will also help to ensure the investment thesis for each asset in the Davidson Portfolio translates into actionable investment and operating strategies. As a Financial Analyst at a fully integrated hotel operations and investment platform, they will conduct analyses on Davidson’s existing portfolio to maximize property-level operational performance, working together with senior executives and departments such as Accounting, Food & Beverage, and Sales & Marketing. On occasion, the Financial Analyst will also help to present return-on-investment opportunities to senior leadership and ownership to increase property income and asset values.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Real Estate, Finance and/or Hospitality Business
Experience and/or course workload must consist of Excel and financial modeling
Basic knowledge of commercial real estate, including operations, debt/equity structures and exhibits familiarity with real estate terminology
Ability to think critically
Keen attention to detail
Highly developed organizational and analytical skills
Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time or more depending on current business activity
Ability to re-locate to Atlanta, GA and work in the corporate office 3 – 5 days per week
Ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritize appropriately
Ability to work well and collaborate with others as well as be self-directed and independent to achieve project deadlines
Ability to identify opportunities to create/improve existing models and analyst practices
Business writing ability
Strong computer skills: Excel (modeling and analysis), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, online research tools
