In this challenging role, you will be supporting the FNA - Financial Aid department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following. PROGRAM MANAGEMENT: Takes ownership of assigned program(s) within the Financial Aid Office with responsibilities including but not limited to: -Determining, setting, and evaluating metrics of success for assigned program(s), completing assigned program requirements within timelines established by supervisor, and taking the initiative to evaluate programs and processes with the purpose of process improvement and increased efficiency. -Performs required verifications of financial aid applications. Processes all FAFSA applicant data; updates appropriate software systems. Reports, files, and adheres to and within compliance of federal, state and institutional regulations/policies. -Maintains knowledge of Federal, State, and Institutional policy and guidelines of programs. Provides new staff, if applicable, with necessary documentation and resources to address routine questions. -Performs data analysis and necessary updates to student data based on reports generated and assigned by supervisor in a timely manner -Assists with annual set up of the student information and verification related systems. Prepares for, provides, and regularly maintains accurate data and records in preparation for internal and external audits. -Assists with other program management areas as assigned. CUSTOMER SERVICE : Assist with both direct and indirect customer service. Assists in overseeing the FA processing email address. Counsels and responds to student inquiries in person, via email correspondence, and by phone in accordance with the Financial Aid office’s determined time frames. Reviews application to determine and counsel on required steps for admittance and/or registration, reviews FAFSA, analyzes financial situations and needs, determines appropriate packaging of aid, and courteously shares the information with the student. Provides guidance to students, staff, and public relating to the Financial Aid, application, and enrollment processes, availability of financial aid and the requirements associated with such in a friendly and caring manner. Possesses the ability to understand complex Federal and State regulations pertaining to Financial Aid policy. Prepare and conduct presentations, workshops and outreach: Become familiar with various financial aid and academic programs and be able to present information about these programs to the public both on and off campus and in a virtual format on a weekly and/or monthly basis. Is comfortable and well versed in speaking to large groups and presenting complex information to a diverse audience regarding all steps of the student life cycle. Review presentation materials on a regular basis to ensure accuracy. Make improvements to the presentations and workshops as needed to ensure their effectiveness.
