Requirements

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, general business, or a related field
  • At least four years of experience in fiscal operations
  • Knowledge of principles of accounting
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform analysis and prepare reports through running queries and researching in UA Accounting Systems to ensure accuracy and make corrections where needed

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience using Workday Finance and/or Workday Student
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access
  • Higher Education experience
  • University of Arkansas experience
  • Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Assistant Vice Provost for Distance Education Administration, the Financial Affairs Manager is responsible for reconciling, reporting, and transferring online revenues to other university units
  • analyzing data
  • preparing working papers and reconciliations
  • coordinating special program revenues and billings
  • entering journal entries, invoices, and other transactions in Workday.
  • Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
