About The Position

This role supports the delivery of Financial Advisory Services within the district. The primary purpose is to assist with servicing existing member relationships, guiding members through financial empowerment initiatives, and introducing them to Financial Advisory Services (FAS) solutions and products. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone interested in pursuing licensing in the future, as it involves tasks that do not require licensing beyond life insurance, but aims to improve district efficiency. The role also involves educating branch staff on FAS solutions to enhance member referrals and employee financial well-being.

Requirements

  • Must have or quickly obtain life insurance licensing.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a support role required for FAS Representative level.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must possess an aptitude for meeting people, developing member confidence, respect of members and co-workers, and trust of Credit Union.
  • Must be able to quickly adapt to changes in daily work based on immediate needs.
  • Must have strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Must be discreet in performance of duties and hold information about member accounts in strict confidence.
  • Must be able to speak English fluently.
  • Must be cordial in all interactions with members and co-workers.
  • Must possess vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in the credit union or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Ideally interested in attaining licensing in the future as the needs of the district evolve and additional licensed representatives are needed.
  • Climbing stairs may be necessary in branches that are housed on more than one floor.
  • Visual acuity is required to complete necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Determines member life insurance and annuity needs and delivers solutions accordingly.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of all FAS solutions to coordinate with specialists and ensure holistic member needs are met.
  • Delivers training on FAS solutions to branch staff to improve member referrals and educate employees on financial well-being.
  • Effectively works referrals to ensure members are connected with a qualified FAS employee.
  • Assists licensed investment representatives with annual review calls and other non-investment licensing tasks.
  • Assists trust representatives with maintaining the EPE calendar and following up with members.
  • Participates in community involvement events such as promotional presentations, member appreciation events, and educational sessions.
  • Communicates frequently with the FAS DM about activities and results within the assigned area.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Completes training, modules, and education as directed by management.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with co-workers.
  • Adheres to the work schedule and attendance policy established by manager.
