About The Position

Masterworks is seeking polished, finance-minded communicators to lead guided museum tours focused on art market prices and trends for prospective investors. As the on-site expert, you will educate potential investors on the Masterworks business, provide market guides with artwork values and artist trends, and highlight investable art market segments. The goal is to encourage prospective investors to schedule a meeting to learn more about Masterworks. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain client-facing experience from day one, build relationships with high-net-worth individuals, and lay the foundation for a career in wealth management, private client services, or investment sales. The position does not require a license to start, but candidates will work towards a Series 65 license within their first year, with the aim of transitioning into a Financial Advisor role.

Requirements

  • Background or education in finance, economics, or business.
  • Exceptional in-person presence and public speaking skills, capable of engaging an audience of accomplished adults for an hour.
  • Willingness to pursue Series 65 licensing within the first year.
  • Genuine interest in the art market as an asset class (formal art background not required).
  • Strong, professional written communication skills for follow-up emails and texts.
  • Highly self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage follow-up cadences without daily oversight.
  • Well-networked within the community, including belonging to membership organizations and attending community events.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
  • Available to travel locally within the metro area to partner museums.
  • Reliable availability for daytime and early-evening tours, including some weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with financial markets or alternative investments.
  • Progress toward Series licensing, CFP, or CFA.
  • Early experience in wealth management, private client services, or financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Host approximately 60-minute guided museum tours for groups of 8-15 prospective investors, 3-5 days per week, between 3pm and 7pm.
  • Achieve a 70%+ rate of groups scheduling calls with Masterworks representatives.
  • Manage all post-tour follow-up, including multi-touch outreach via call, email, and text, until a meeting is booked or the attendee opts out.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities to invite people to events within the community, such as reaching out to angel investing groups and attending community events.
  • Manage on-site event flow, including check-in, ticketing, group pacing, and professional closing.
