About The Position

Through its partnership with LPL Financial, Thumb Bank & Trust is seeking a Financial Advisor to provide retirement and investment services to customers within our Sandusky service area. In recent years the bank has posted record earnings and receives outstanding support from its shareholders. Bank assets now total over $600 million, and the growth of the investment program necessitates the need to add a Financial Advisor to the established program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Active Series 7 and 63/65 (or 66) licenses required, along with Life, Accident & Health insurance licenses.
  • Must maintain a clean U4 and background check.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, financial planning, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze client needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Proficiency with broker dealer technology, electronic order entry systems, DocuSign, and CRM platforms.
  • Strong sales and business development skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team oriented culture.
  • High attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in financial advisory services, wealth management, or investment sales preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate customer needs for financial services; assess objectives and goals and develop tailored investment strategies.
  • Stay current on market conditions, investment products, and tax and securities implications for clients.
  • Complete required training and continuing education to maintain licensing and product knowledge; meet regularly with Program Manager.
  • Drive investment and program integration initiatives within assigned bank branches, including staff training and engagement.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to branch staff to improve lead quality and quantity; collaborate to identify cross sell opportunities.
  • Service existing client accounts through periodic reviews and meetings to ensure investment objectives are on track.
  • Conduct client workshops and seminars on topics such as retirement planning, Social Security, and education planning.
  • Maintain visibility in the community to attract and retain new clients; actively participate in networking and business development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including FINRA, SEC, and Bank policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions using broker dealer technology and CRM systems.
