About The Position

The Financial Advisor role centers on assisting uninsured or underinsured patients by securing insurance coverage or charity care, enhancing patient access to medical services. This position requires interaction with various stakeholders including government agencies, insurance companies, and directly with patients to coordinate benefits and manage medical bill payments. Responsibilities extend to setting up prepayment plans for significant medical procedures and handling sensitive financial information with discretion. The role demands a high level of customer service to ensure patient satisfaction and contribute to the facility's broader financial goals. Work may involve rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the healthcare needs of the community. Requirements

  • Successful completion of data entry, general clerical, ten key, and financial advisor standards administered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Human Resources staff
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Obtain MNSure certification (or related agency) within three (3) months and continuing with ongoing mandatory education for the certification as assigned by the state (or related agency)
