We acknowledge that our Conexus offices and facilities are located on Treaty 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 lands. These are the traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Lakota, Nakota and Saulteaux peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis. We are actively seeking a Financial Advisor at our branch in La Ronge, Saskatchewan who brings a solid background in Lending, Investments or both, along with a genuine drive to grow and advance. We will also consider applicants with limited advisory experience and a desire to learn more. As a Financial Advisor, you will focus on cultivating meaningful relationships with your assigned portfolio of members to understand their financial goals and support their achievement. This includes the offering and fulfillment of financial services and products, including consumer lending and investments (including mutual funds).
Requirements
- 3+ years of Financial Industry Experience in an Advisory Capacity
- Experience working in a customer care/customer service role
- Experience in portfolio management
- Experience in Underwriting Loans is required
- Personal Financial Services Associate designation; or working towards it
- Certified Financial Planner Designation; or working towards it
Nice To Haves
- IFIC Licensed and experience selling Mutual Funds is an asset
- experience in approving those loans is an asset
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievement through the provision of introductory financial planning
- Provide account, investment and lending products, within scope of position, to meet member needs: Memberships and accounts including lines of credit, Consumer investment products including mutual funds, Complex consumer lending products, Cards, Registered products, Safety deposit boxes, Mobile banking solutions, Day to day banking needs
- Conduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and services
- Increase retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow-up to ensure member satisfaction
- Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation
- Adhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controls
- Ensure a healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.)
- Positively represent Conexus externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaboration
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiencies
- Provide support, assistance and backup as required for retail team
