About The Position

At PNC, Financial Advisors within PNC Wealth Management are based in a bank branch in Wakefield, NC, and manage an assigned book of business. They operate within a highly collaborative circuit of branches, executing an advice and planning strategy focused on helping clients meet their savings, investing, and retirement goals. The role involves creating personalized solutions with the guidance of financial planning experts, utilizing a comprehensive, holistic, and strategic approach. PNC supports its advisors with a referral program, a culture that encourages teamwork, robust training, administrative support, and state-of-the-art technology. The Financial Advisor consults on investment and insurance strategies, develops financial plans, and is responsible for growing and retaining an investment and insurance book of business. They own the client experience, efficiently handling sales and service, identifying sales and/or executing opportunities, and making referrals to internal business partners. This includes acquiring, expanding, and maintaining client relationships through business development and client networking, and growing client loyalty through an exceptional client experience. Advisors apply product and procedural knowledge to solve client problems, determine the best products to support strategies, and present sound financial recommendations and guidance to clients. They establish individual financial plans based on client financial needs and objectives and monitor these plans, recommending changes as needed. A key aspect is actively coaching and educating branch staff and internal business partners to identify investment opportunities, driving investment education and visibility, and leading the branch team to achieve investment results. The role requires urgency, leading by example, and regular, effective communication with internal and external partners to build strong relationships that drive referral activity. Advisors regularly meet with branch managers and other internal business partners to communicate and review business results and pipeline management, and must meet service level agreements for lead and referral follow-up. Adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines is essential. Employees are expected to be customer-focused, understanding customer needs to create customized solutions, and managing all associated risks in line with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

  • University / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63,65) required.
  • Life and Health Insurance required.

Responsibilities

  • Consults on investment and insurance strategies, as well as the development of financial plans for clients.
  • Grows and retains an investment and insurance book of business.
  • Owns the client experience, efficiently handling sales and service, identifying sales and/or executing opportunities and making referrals to internal business partners as appropriate.
  • Acquires, expands and maintains client relationships through business development and client networking.
  • Grows client loyalty and share of wallet through an exceptional client experience.
  • Applies product and procedural knowledge to solve client problems appropriately and efficiently.
  • Develops and implements investment and insurance strategies for clients.
  • Determines the best products to support such strategies.
