About The Position

Savant Wealth Management is growing its Thousand Oaks, CA advisory team and looking for a Financial Advisor who is ready to make an impact with clients while continuing to develop as a planning professional. This opportunity is ideal for someone with advisory support, paraplanning, or early-stage advisor experience who is eager to deepen their planning knowledge, participate more actively in client meetings, and build confidence presenting recommendations over time. You will work closely with experienced advisors and Savant’s technical specialists while gaining hands-on experience in client service, financial planning, relationship management, and business development. This position will support a small advisory office consisting of two advisors and a Client Service Associate. This is a hybrid role based in Thousand Oaks, CA. While most client meetings are currently conducted virtually, the advisor should be available for in-person client meetings at least a couple of times per month. Travel is expected to be rare, though the advisor may have opportunities to build relationships with remote clients over time. The advisor will receive coaching and support as responsibilities progress from planning preparation and meeting participation to presenting recommendations and managing smaller client relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in an advisory support, paraplanning, or related wealth management role, with demonstrated ability to support planning and client relationship management.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; MBA preferred.
  • Certified Financial Planner™ certification preferred upon hire or attained within two years of date of hire.
  • Series 65 license expected if not already completed.
  • All Financial Advisor applicants must have a clean U4 with no disclosures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as financial planning and portfolio-related software.
  • Financial planning and wealth management acumen, judgment, and experience.
  • Strong communication, listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Client-first mindset, strong follow-through, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Co-advising and servicing existing client relationships, including documenting meetings and contacts, supporting follow-up, and taking the lead on routine client communication.
  • Preparing for and participating in client meetings, with progression toward presenting planning concepts, sections of plans, and full financial plans.
  • Coordinating the comprehensive financial planning process with Savant’s Planning Team, including new client onboarding, client updates, portfolio reviews, and planning opportunities.
  • Supporting new client relationship development through prospect preparation, follow-up workflow, referral source development, and participation in planning meetings for prospective clients.
  • Building business development skills by retaining clients, growing wallet share, earning referrals, and developing a personal network over time.
  • Adopting core advisor technology and AI tools, including AI note-taking, AI-supported client meeting insights, and data tools that support informed decision-making.
