About The Position

At The Harrington District – Northwestern Mutual, we believe great financial advisors come from a variety of backgrounds. Whether you've worked in education, healthcare, sales, construction, business ownership, coaching, design, or another profession, the relationship-building, leadership, and problem-solving skills you've already developed can become the foundation of a rewarding career. Our mission is to build financially secure communities one person, one family, and one business at a time. We believe that commitment extends beyond financial planning, which is why our team actively supports organizations like Alex's Lemonade Stand, Dress for Success Quad Cities, and Empower House. We're also proud to support pediatric cancer research and nursing initiatives through a $500,000 commitment to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. If you're looking for a career where you can grow professionally, help others reach their goals, and make a positive impact in your community, you'll find the opportunity and the support to do both here. Success in this role isn't determined by your previous industry, it's driven by your ability to connect with people, earn trust, and solve problems. We provide comprehensive training from experienced leaders, professional mentorship and ongoing coaching, licensing & exam preparation, marketing and planning support, a collaborative team invested in your long-term success, and the opportunity to build a meaningful career while making a lasting impact in your community. You'll join a team of professionals who have successfully transitioned from careers in consulting, coaching, business ownership, education, design, real estate, and many other fields. As a Financial Advisor, you'll help individuals, families, and business owners make informed financial decisions through personalized planning and insurance strategies. You'll build long-term relationships, understand each client's unique goals, and create customized solutions designed to help them achieve financial confidence.
