About The Position

The primary function of this position is to support the daily operations of the Wealth Management Division. This position contributes to the increased generation of commission and fee revenue by helping Financial Advisors support Clients with efficient, quality service. This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Wealth Management and other Financial Advisors in ensuring the branch follows all industry regulations. The Financial Advisor Assistant adheres to and embodies Gulf Winds' Vision, Mission, and Values. The person in this role does not provide investment advice.

Requirements

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use mathematics to process account and transaction information.
  • Must adhere to safety rules and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts daily on the phone, through email, and in person with prospective and existing clients, including handling client issues relating to all client services provided by the department. Manages referrals, schedules events prepares client proposals and updates investment strategies with the direction of Financial Advisors.
  • Supports the daily operations by following up on client documentation, preparing letters, forms, and spreadsheets to assist with servicing existing clients and prospecting for new clients, and ensuring required client paperwork is current with firm and industry requirements, rules, and regulations.
  • Researches and resolves client issues in cooperation with support staff and back-office partners. Acts as onsite dedicated service expert in a wide range of client issues.
  • Assists in scheduling the ongoing training of employees on Wealth Management products and processes.
  • Assists with compliance in all areas, including branch signage and placement.
  • Assists with marketing efforts, including client events, seminars, flyers, signage, etc.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
