This position assists in the preparation of financial and budget reports, forecasts, and annual reports. The primary duties include collecting and reporting data according to established organizational accounting procedures, utilizing and reporting data in the organization's cost accounting system with various spreadsheet and software applications, and compiling financial, operating, and special reports/studies as directed. The role also involves preparing and presenting analyses of ongoing and proposed projects/studies, including costing and financial projection models, assisting in the development of short/long-term strategic financial operational plans, verifying department accounting record entries, journals, and postings, explaining organizational policies/procedures to department accounting/finance staff, and acting as backup for department accounting/purchasing functions as necessary.
