About The Position

This role is responsible for providing complete and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, RUS Uniform System of Accounts, and cooperative policies. The Financial Accountant will perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts and aging accounts, prepare monthly financial statements for various stakeholders, and analyze financial data to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Collaboration with other departments is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 2+ years of experience in financial accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards
• Exceptional analytical skills with keen attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide complete and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, RUS Uniform System of Accounts, and policies of the cooperative.
• Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records.
• Prepare daily reconciliation reports for aging accounts, ensuring accuracy of records.
• Review and prepare monthly financial statements for board of directors, management, and other financial statement users.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support their financial needs.
