About The Position

The Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by performing routine accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This role ensures accounting information is current and supports the controller and accounting team in meeting reporting and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting
  • Basic understanding of accounting-related software including Microsoft Dynamics and Excel
  • Works effectively in a high-pressure environment and is detail oriented
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Previous accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes by preparing supporting schedules and documentation
  • Calculate and record taxes owed as needed
  • Maintain and update accounting records within established systems and in accordance with company policies
  • Support compliance filings and assist with external audit preparation
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies or unusual activity to senior accounting staff
  • Other duties or projects, administrative or otherwise, as assigned
