About The Position

High 5 Games is seeking an accounting professional to join our growing finance and accounting team in the role of a Financial Accountant. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the recording of transactions in our general ledger, reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts and supporting financial schedules, assist with the preparation of financial statements, payments of accounts payable, collections of accounts receivable, payroll related matters, improving policies, procedures and day to day accounting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and providing support for other ongoing tasks and special projects. The Financial Accountant will report to the Controller and will work directly with other members of the accounting staff and provide services to other departments.

  • Capable of balancing team and individual responsibilities in a growing, dynamic environment, with competing priorities.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of two years public accounting or corporate accounting/finance experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Netsuite, Concur T&E, and Convergent a plus.
  • Certified Public Accountant or CPA exam parts passed a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, account reconciliations and analytics.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and distribution letters to members .
  • Process and monitor travel and entertainment and other purchase order expense transactions.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate application of cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Assist with tax filings and maintenance of tax schedules in conjunction with our tax advisors.
  • Process and review payroll through the use of Bamboo HR payroll services and in partnership with HR.
  • Organize and maintain customer and vendor contracts and lease agreements and schedules.
  • Assist in maintaining the fixed asset ledger, deferred revenue, and capitalized cost schedules.
  • Provide periodic cash flow, expense, and other ad hoc analysis.
  • Identify financial statement risks, develop and/or enhance mitigating key controls.
  • Update accounting process documentation; assist in evaluating, developing and implementing an enhanced streamlined/automated approach.
  • Assist with the research and documentation of accounting policies
