About The Position

AIRTEC is currently seeking a highly qualified Financial Accountant to work at our corporate headquarters located in California MD. The selected candidate will be supporting our Accounting Departments by performing a number of financial activities. The Financial Accountant plays a vital role in supporting the finance department by ensuring accurate and timely processing financial transactions. This position is responsible for maintaining organized financial records, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling statements to support overall accounting operations. The role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles to help maintain compliance and financial accuracy. The Financial Accountant will collaborate closely with other team members to streamline processes and contribute to the preparation of financial reports. Ultimately, this position helps ensure the financial integrity and efficiency of the organization’s accounting functions. The successful candidate will be organized and will be able to communicate effectively.

  • Must have good analytical skills and a sound understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
  • CPA or currently working to obtain CPA license would be helpful but not a requirement.
  • Public accounting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily data entry of key financial transactions in database.
  • Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
  • Reconcile records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers in a timely manner.
  • Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Reconcile accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
  • Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g. disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts receivable, accounts payable).
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
  • Manage CONCUR Travel and Expense Reporting program as Administrator.
  • Provide training, assistance and support to company personnel for CONCUR.
  • Keep management informed on activity areas.
  • Manage billing for subsidiary organizations.
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.
  • Ensure compliance with Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as requested by management.
