About The Position

Bay Business Group, a growing accounting firm based in Falls Church, Virginia, serves small businesses and nonprofit organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region. The firm is hiring detail-oriented financial accountants to maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients, manage client relationships and concerns, and provide timely financial reporting. The role supports client satisfaction and the firm’s success. It is remote and requires availability during normal business hours to support clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
• Experience managing multiple clients.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work during normal business hours to support clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with client projects.
• Assist with year-end close and tax filings as needed.
