About The Position

A well-established group is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to take full ownership of the accounting function for its manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven professional who enjoys working independently and managing the full finance cycle from home.

Requirements

• BCom Accounting Degree.
• Minimum 3 years' commercial accounting experience.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage Evolution and Sage Payroll Professional.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing industry experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process accounting transactions up to Trial Balance.
• Assist with management accounts and financial reporting.
• Manage payroll on Sage Payroll Professional.
• Prepare and submit VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, UIF, and other statutory returns.
• Handle provisional tax and corporate income tax submissions.
• Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with auditors.
• Manage supplier reconciliations, payment batches, and inventory records.
