Requirements

  • Positive energy and creativity

  • Dedication to building science
  • Experience with light wood frame construction
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture with at least five years of relevant experience
  • Licensed to practice in MA or actively pursuing licensure
  • Proficiency in BIM software (ArchiCAD preferred; Revit acceptable)
  • Fluency with Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and Adobe tools
  • US citizenship or a valid work permit (EAD)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

  • Lead clients and project teams through a creative, collaborative, and efficient design process from concept to construction.
  • Tackle project challenges with innovative design solutions.
  • Balance aesthetics, function, sustainability, health, durability, buildability, schedule, and budget in every decision.
  • Foster trust through active listening and open communication.
  • Create clear, comprehensive documentation to communicate ideas and decisions.
  • Oversee consultants and guide designer-level staff.
  • Ensure construction aligns with design intent and documentation.
  • Partner with Production staff to enhance buildability, celebrate craft, manage risks, learn from experience, and develop accurate project estimates.
