About The Position

ON.energy is building the backbone of energy and AI infrastructure powering grid-safe data centers and mission-critical facilities. The company supplies and operates hyperscale power systems that solve the toughest resilience challenges, delivering custom solutions for AI data centers, mission-critical facilities, and front-of-the-meter assets. ON recently announced a 5GW partnership, with 3GW currently under construction across multiple hyperscale data center campuses. With patented technology and proprietary software, ON.energy develops projects worldwide that set new benchmarks for resilience. About the role ON.energy is building and operating hyperscale power systems at gigawatt scale. The Finance organization is scaling the systems, processes and controls that support that growth: a NetSuite implementation, Ramp, an inventory management system, process and controls work, and the Road to IPO. This is a new position, created to own the execution of that portfolio end to end: Idea → Design → Plan → Implementation → Testing → Go-Live → Stabilization → Handover. The role reports directly to the CFO, with dotted lines to the VP of Accounting/FP&A and the Head of Corporate Finance. That placement gives it a cross-functional mandate across all of Finance rather than a single sub-function. It works daily with Accounting, Treasury, Tax, FP&A, IT, Operations, Procurement, Legal, external advisors and vendors.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience combining Finance / Accounting, Project Management, Finance Transformation and ERP implementation.
  • Track record leading finance systems implementations end to end from the client side.
  • Working command of core finance processes — close, AP/AR, expense, inventory and costing — and how they are reflected in an ERP.
  • Experience managing implementation partners and vendors on scope, timeline and quality.
  • Strong written and executive communication; able to drive accountability without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite, Oracle or SAP; finance transformation; SOX; process redesign; UAT and data migration; internal controls; high-growth companies.
  • Energy, infrastructure or construction industry exposure, including project accounting and project finance.
  • PMP, CPA, CMA, Agile / Scrum or Lean Six Sigma. PMP is nice-to-have, not a requirement — successful ERP implementations count for more.
  • Professional English and Spanish, given that vendors and advisors work in both.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project charters, scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria.
  • Build detailed implementation plans and milestones.
  • Establish project governance and meeting cadence.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and track deliverables and dependencies.
  • Maintain project documentation and drive projects through completion.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent governance methodology: Executive Sponsor, Project Owner, Project Manager, Workstream Owners, Timeline, RACI, Budget, Risks, Decision Log and Status for every project.
  • Report project status to the CFO on a fixed cadence, with the VP of Accounting/FP&A and the Head of Corporate Finance included.
  • Maintain the risk register, issue log, dependency tracker, decision log and escalation process.
  • Surface problems early and bring decisions to the CFO. Do not wait until a project is late to communicate that it is late.
  • Lead requirements gathering, process mapping and system design workshops.
  • Coordinate data migration, UAT and cutover planning.
  • Run go-live, hypercare and the post-implementation review.
  • Manage implementation partners and vendors: statements of work, deliverables, quality and escalation.
  • Coordinate stakeholder communication, training plans and SOPs.
  • Own go-live readiness, post-go-live support and process documentation.
  • Track user adoption against defined adoption KPIs.
  • Build and maintain the Finance Transformation Roadmap: initiative, owner, PM, priority, status and target date.
  • Run a monthly portfolio review with the CFO, the VP of Accounting/FP&A and the Head of Corporate Finance.
