About The Position

The Finance Temp will provide short-term support to the Finance Department by assisting with day-to-day accounting and administrative functions. This role is critical in ensuring timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the team during a period of increased workload.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support roles required
  • 3-5 years of nonprofit accounting experience with at least one year of grants management required
  • Intermediate or Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems (ability to do v-lookups and pivot tables)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
  • U.S. work authorization required as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with nonprofit financial operations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support all accounting-related tasks as assigned (e.g., data entry, reconciliations, reports)
  • Prepare and organize financial documentation and files
  • Respond to internal finance-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with audits, reporting, or funder documentation as requested
  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance team
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned
