About The Position

As a Finance Supervisor supporting Kiewit's Industrial business, you'll lead a team of finance professionals while partnering directly with project and operational leadership to drive successful business outcomes. In this highly visible role, you'll provide strategic financial oversight for large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects while serving as a trusted advisor to operations managers and executive leadership. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with a passion for leadership, continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, project finance, accounting, or public accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence multiple levels of an organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and business acumen.
  • Ability to freely access all areas of construction and industrial project sites.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and clearly communicate project financial performance and key business insights to operational and executive leadership.
  • Build trust and strong partnerships with project teams while driving financial accountability and business results.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals to support both individual and organizational growth.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, earned value analyses, and profit projections.
  • Assist with the tracking and financial analysis of project change orders and forecast updates.
  • Support project managers in establishing and implementing project controls and financial procedures.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reporting, and decision-making processes.
  • Utilize data, reporting tools, and financial metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
  • Review project cash flows, contract terms, estimates, and change orders to proactively identify financial risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership to attract, develop, and retain top finance talent.
  • Support multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
