Requirements

  • 8–14 years in financial planning, commercial finance, or sales finance, with specific CPG experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance required
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Analytics).
  • Strong communication skills to influence sales partners, analytical mindset, and ability to manage complex trade spend structures.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, build financial models, and create reports in tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring junior analysts, and comfortable presenting to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end profitability of a specific category, including monthly forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Partner with Brand, Marketing, and Sales to evaluate product innovations, renovation activities, and new product proposals.
  • Analyze and optimize promotional investments (trade spend) and set pricing strategies to improve margin.
  • Monitor cost of sales, manufacturing costs, and cost-to-serve metrics, partnering with Supply Teams in factories and supply services.
  • Deliver actionable financial insights and executive-ready presentations on volume, mix, and customer/channel performance.
  • Leads the Plan & Forecast process for their category, including presenting all Category Plans to leadership in liaison with Category team.
