About The Position

Uber Freight is seeking a Summer 2027 Finance Operations Intern who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and wants to contribute positively in the workplace. The internship provides exposure to several Finance Operations teams and their functions, including Billing, Collections, Cash Applications, Audits, and Accounts Payable. Following completion of the internship, participants may be considered for a full-time opportunity. The intern will support financial reporting, work with business partners, help resolve open items, and contribute to process improvements and special projects. The role also includes participation in Uber Freight intern meetings, seminars, learning opportunities, and a capstone project. The internship is hybrid and based in Rogers, Arkansas, or Chicago, Illinois. It runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027, and requires 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
Able to work in Rogers, Arkansas, or Chicago, Illinois.
Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week, from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.

Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and terminology.

Responsibilities

Consolidate slides for the monthly financial operating review and obtain commentary from stakeholders.
Communicate and work with responsible parties to resolve open items.
Tie out chart data to ensure accuracy.
Assist business partners, including Sales, Operations, and Finance.
Learn the functions and responsibilities of FinOps teams, including Billing, Collections, Cash Applications, Audits, and Accounts Payable.
Follow finance policies and procedures and seek opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc analysis as assigned.
Participate in Uber Freight intern meetings, seminars, learning opportunities, and the capstone project.
