Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team! We are looking for entrepreneurial, analytical, and creative leaders to help us shape the future of cloud computing finance. The AWS Sales Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is looking for a Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in influencing decision-making and planning at the highest levels of AWS Finance. In this role, you will own revenue forecasting and industry-level financial analysis, partnering with stakeholders across sales and finance organizations to craft frameworks to uncover what is driving business performance. You will leverage financial modeling, AI tools, and communication abilities to create insights that influence planning cycles and inform leadership discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Nice To Haves

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and own end-to-end revenue forecasting for industry segments across planning and guidance cycles, including both bottoms-up consolidation and tops-down alignment
• Deliver financial models and analytical tools that improve the accuracy of revenue planning cycles, applying economic principles to business decisions
• Create high-quality reporting deliverables (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) that provide actionable insights for senior finance leaders across AWS
• Build compelling narratives around business performance that explain trends, forecast accuracy, and expectations to executive leadership
• Partner with finance teams across multiple geographies and business units to reconcile estimates, identify revenue drivers, and ensure narrative consistency
